The world of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet is abuzz with the latest giveaway event, offering trainers the opportunity to welcome a shiny Arcanine into their team. The developers regularly release new codes for these games, some of which bestow free items upon the players, while others, more thrilling in nature, grant them complimentary Pokemon.

A previous distribution event had players receiving an East Sea Gastrodon, a unique variant based on the one utilized by the 2022 Pokemon Trainers Cup Champion, Wonseok Jung. This Gastrodon came equipped with the moves Earth Power, Ice Beam, Yawn, and Protect. However, the code for this particular Pokemon has expired.

But fret not, trainers! A new opportunity has arisen to claim a shiny Arcanine. Until July 3, players can use the code PAULEU1CW1N to add this rare Pokemon to their collection. This giveaway, celebrating the North America International Championships, features an Arcanine based on Paul Chua’s version. This Arcanine boasts the moves Flare Blitz, Extreme Speed, Will-O-Wisp, and Protect, along with the Intimidate ability, Grass Tera type, and Safety Goggles as the held item.

Shiny Pokemon, boasting slightly different color schemes than their regular versions, are a rare find. While there are methods to increase the odds of encountering shiny Pokemon in Scarlet and Violet, luck plays a significant role. Therefore, receiving a shiny Pokemon for free is a significant event for many players, aiding them in their quest to complete their shiny Pokemon collection.

Later this year, the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet universe will expand further. Nintendo has plans to release two substantial expansion packs, one in the fall and another in the winter. Known collectively as The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero, the first expansion pack, The Teal Mask, will introduce the new legendary Pokemon Ogerpon, while The Indigo Disk will feature another new legendary Pokemon, Terapagos.

While it’s possible that more new Pokemon will be added to Pokemon Scarlet and Violet as part of the DLC, no additional reveals have been made at this time. However, fans can look forward to the return of many Pokemon that didn’t make the initial cut. In the meantime, players can claim their free shiny Arcanine.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are currently available, exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.
